Passion (is not a) Distraction

This month is officially a "rediscover your passion" month for me. Also for my bestie +priscilla novani apparently :)

You cannot help yourself to come alive when you are thinking, pondering, and acting on your passion. And the weirdest part is that you don't get drained doing it.

One of my favorite preacher of all times, Robert Fergusson, once said that he get ENERGIZED from preaching.

I'm not saying that when you act upon your passion it's not physically or mentally tiring, we humans are not machines. But when what you do is based upon your passion then you will feel spent and satisfied, not tired and terrible!

Is it to idealistic?

Nope.

Yes, I know that we can't get everything that we want (now). But I am a firm believer that you should love what you do. Why? BECAUSE YOU ONLY LIVED ONCE!

The only time you are allowed to use YOLO is when you are unreservedly pursuing your passion (and not for eating nutella pie or doing stupid stuff like peeing on a pole or something). Saw a quote on instagram yesterday saying this (I think it's from the movie 'Up'):

"Shelves are for books, not dreams"

My response: AMEN! Except if your dream is to write a book. Hahahaha. By the way, how good is Disney movies? I think one of the reasons that I grew up as an okay-functional adult is because I based my childhood principles on Disney movies....

Anyway.

Stop being mediocre. Stop hating your life. It's so boring.
