Walk Away

Growing up, my dad always says this quote to me:

"Don't give up"

Looking back it pretty much sums up my teenage years up till my early twenties. I never gave up. I just stick to it, whether I liked it or not. 

I don't give up on people.

I filled up my time table just to make sure I get everything done

I committed myself, came in earlier then everybody and of course the last one to leave.

I stick with what I have promised.

The funny thing is, as I do that, I wasn't being appreciated as much as being taken for granted. And I honestly didn't realize that.

So, a friend posted this video on Facebook and it caught my attention. I think he posted this ages ago, but I just found the time to watch this now. 

I balled my eyes out after I watched this. So true hey.... We tend to put ourselves so low, so underrated, and so much worse than who we actually are.

Why is that?
Why do we tend to despise ourselves?

Passion (is not a) Distraction

This month is officially a "rediscover your passion" month for me. Also for my bestie +priscilla novani apparently :)

You cannot help yourself to come alive when you are thinking, pondering, and acting on your passion. And the weirdest part is that you don't get drained doing it.

One of my favorite preacher of all times, Robert Fergusson, once said that he get ENERGIZED from preaching.

I'm not saying that when you act upon your passion it's not physically or mentally tiring, we humans are not machines. But when what you do is based upon your passion then you will feel spent and satisfied, not tired and terrible!

Is it to idealistic?

Getting Lost is Fun

I am an expert in getting lost.

It really doesn't matter if  I have a fully functional GPS or the fact that I am highly educared which means I can read sign posts.

I still get lost.

Most of the time it was due to my own stupidity and the fact that my brain often wander to some la-la-land.
