Behind the Curtain

Everyone have secrets.

We all have that locked rooms and all the stuff that we hid from the sight of others, because we crave for their approvals, because we feel dirty.

But that secret room linger.

No matter how many times we threw away the keys, It will always come back to us. Always.

We found triggers and hurt and pain that will bring us back in that secret rooms.

We knew it was wrong, all the secrets and the pain that we keep.... and how they demand to be heard... and we are struggling to keep them contained.... the seeping sickly smell that ooze through that secret room.

And sometimes, a small fraction of people found the courage to let the secret out. It was scary and frustrating but isn't that everything that we wanted as a human being?

To be loved and accepted for our WHOLE self

Not a fraction or a mirage of it.

And our fallen humanity make the worst choice in responding to honesty: we judge them. We cringe and we point fingers. Because it makes us feel better - seeing someone doing worst then us.

WHAT THE HECK IS WRONG WITH US?

Remember the cross?
Remember our sins?
Remember our secret room(s)?

Good.

Then remember this.
Remember Jesus?
Remember the Cross?
Remember how He loves us?
Remember that He know our secret rooms and He LOVES us anyway?

Therefore I tell you, her sins, which are many, are forgiven—for she loved much. But he who is forgiven little, loves little. - Luke 7:47

When I read that verse, I was so stunned. Who have been forgiven little? We all have sinned.  We all make stupid mistakes; in our mind and in our deeds. Who have that little to forgive? With our crazy brain and our rebellious soul?

We are forgiven little because that is the only thing that we have ever asked forgiveness for.

We kept our secrets and pain and mistakes and said proudly "I'm fine".

But when we are truly honest and took away our pride and put every rotten, disgusting things in the altar of God; we would realise that we, too, has been forgiven much.

And that is when we can be kind and loving toward people who have "sinned much"; because we know that we too have been in that shadow.

We all need to be kind to one another; because we already live in a harsh, harsh world.
